CHESTERFIELD, NJ – For several years, WBNC News has been run entirely by part-time students and adults with jobs. WBNC News staff are made up of volunteers, bringing you the news and events within our small township and surrounding areas.

While our staff has been hard at work with keeping WBNC News current, we would like to dedicate this time to our reporter, photographer and anchor Marisa Murphy, who has completed her academics at Mercer County Community College. She will be graduating in May with an A.F.A with a concentration in photography and digital imaging.

Marisa would like to extend her thanks to her professors, college staff, and her parents for encouraging her to push through and succeed. She will be on an academic hiatus and work part-time at both ARM & HAMMER Park and the Adventure Aquarium, where she will then later transfer to a 4-year college and finish her bachelors. She does not plan on leaving WBNC News any time soon and will continue to write for the community.

During her time at MCCC, Murphy had put together a short documentary about our company, entitled WBNC News: Evolution, which you can view below. Completed in May 2018, learn about the beginnings of your news company and watch how WBNC News grew in 7+ years!

We congratulate Marisa in her academics and wish her the best in the future.
