CHESTERFIELD, NJ – Out of the 4,000 or so registered voters in Chesterfield Twp, just 117 residents came out (in person) to the Chesterfield Municipal Building Saturday afternoon to participate in the fire elections.

Residents were tasked with appointing a new 5-person Fire Commission for the consolidated fire districts and for approving the $945,000 budget.

Chesterfield Hose Company currently has a Length of Service Awards Program (LOSAP) and voters decided today to allow current Crosswicks Fire Company volunteers to participate in that program as well.

These are the unofficial totals and we probably will receive final numbers by Thursday from the county.
