School Board Looks to Fill Vacancy, Interviews Scheduled for Next Week

CHESTERFIELD, NJ – Residents in Chesterfield Township have until Thursday at 4pm to submit their resumes to join the Chesterfield Elementary Board of Education. The School Board is looking to fill the vacancy left by former Board President Jignesh Shah after he resigned in December of last year.

Qualified candidates are asked to include a Letter of Interest along with their resume, and submit it to Board Secretary Patrick Pisano by Thursday, January 17th at 4pm. Shah left an unexpired term, which was to run until January 31st, 2019. This Board position is set to be voted on in November of this year.

Chesterfield Elementary detailed the qualifications for this position:

  • A citizen of the United States of America
  • At least 18 years of age
  • Able to read and write
  • A resident of Chesterfield Township for at least (1) year preceding the date of
    appointment
  • Not directly/indirectly interested in a contract with a claim against the Board
  • Registered to vote in the District
  • Not disqualified as a voter pursuant to NJSA 19:4-1
  • Has not been disqualified due to the conviction of a crime or offense listed in
    N.J.S.A. 18A:12-1

Interviews will take place during the Wednesday, January 23rd meeting. The new member will join Board President Ms. Christina Hoggan, Board Vice-President Mrs. Amy Jablonski, and Board Members Dr. Terran Brown and Mrs. Jackie Halaw.
