CHESTERFIELD, NJ – At last week’s Chesterfield Township Board of Education Meeting, Board President Jignesh Shah gave an update on the negotiations between the BOE and the Chesterfield Township Education Association. Shah and Christina Hoggan are the two board members on the negotiation subcommittee.

The Chesterfield Twp Education Association disagrees with much of his statement saying “[Shah’s] statement presents information that misleads the audience, providing only some of the details of the occurrences from the mediation session. The Association was not interested in engaging in such activities, but feels necessary to respond after the Board has used the school homepage as a media campaign to promote their half-truths.”

The CTEA continues to say that they are still “interested in reaching a fair settlement with the Board,” but will not settle with a “subpar settlement.”

You can watch the public comments portion from the end of the meeting in the video above.
