CROSSWICKS, NJ – Over 50 people visited the home of Chesterfield, NJ Mayor Rita Romeu Saturday for the opportunity to meet Congressional Candidate Andy Kim.

Kim, a Democratic Candidate for NJ’s 3rd district, made a campaign stop in Crosswicks to meet a group of enthusiastic potential constituents, organized by Mayor Romeu and Committeewoman Denise Koetas-Dale.

In addressing the crowd, Kim spoke about his son’s health problems. He brought up the record of his opponent: Incumbent Candidate Tom MacArthur. “He wasn’t just a yes vote [on ACA Healthcare Repeal] like 216 others, he wrote it; he’s got his name on it. It’s called the MacArthur Amendment.”

“This is the single most important election this district has ever been a part of.”

According to the Kim Campaign, Monmouth polling has Kim just 1 point behind incumbent Congressional Candidate Tom MacArthur, and Kim received an endorsement from former President Barack Obama earlier this year.

District 3 covers much of Burlington and Ocean Counties and voted for both Presidents Obama and Trump. Republican Tom MacArthur has held the seat since January of 2015.
