HAMILTON, NJ –

The Hamilton Police Division reports a home invasion style robbery and kidnapping that occurred on Saturday, October 21st, 2017 at approximately 8:20pm in the area of Lakeview Drive.

During a family gathering, a black male wearing what appeared to be a homemade ski mask entered the Lakeview residence brandishing what was described as a sawed-off shotgun. After immobilizing the family, the suspect ransacked the residence, taking various proceeds. He then took an adult female family member hostage and forced her to drive him to Trenton in the family’s vehicle, before releasing her unharmed.

The suspect was described as a dark complected black male, approximately 35-40 years of age, 5’10, 180 lbs, wearing a black hooded sweatshirt with blue sleeves, dark blue jeans, bright white Nike Air sneakers with a white Nike “swoosh,” a black backpack with a teal rear pocket, and a black homemade ski mask that may have been a “beanie” style hat with holes cut for vision and breathing.
