CHESTERFIELD, NJ –

Just days after Chesterfield Elementary was able to reinstate Library Instruction and Instrumental Music due to an increase in state aid, it was announced that Senate President Steve Sweeney will be in Chesterfield next month to discuss school funding.

The Township of Chesterfield, New Jersey announced Friday morning that Senate President Sweeney will be participating in a School Funding Discussion at the Chesterfield Township Municipal Building on August 3rd.

Last month, it was an agreement between Senate President Sweeney and Assembly Speaker Vincent Prieto that doubled Chesterfield’s state aid numbers, and greatly reduced the $500,000 deficit.

This discussion at the Municipal Building comes one day after the Ribbon Cutting Ceremony at the site of the new Municipal Building.

WBNC News will be reporting on both the ribbon cutting and this discussion.
