CROSSWICKS, NJ – A local group called Chesterfield Township for School Funding Fairness is holding a Letter Writing Rally at the Crosswicks Community House on April 3rd.

The goal of the event is to write letters to legislators demanding that the SFRA be followed. The School Funding Reform Act of 2008 determined how schools in the Garden State should be paid for.

Unfortunately, Chesterfield is still funded the same amount as it was in 2008 when it had around 250 students. Now, 9 years later, there are more than 780 students, and Chesterfield continues to be funded at 2008 numbers.

The Letter Writing Rally takes place April 3rd from 4-7pm. WBNC News will be there.
