CHESTERFIELD, NJ – The Chesterfield Hose Company recently welcomed a new edition to their fleet of vehicles. This past week, WBNC News was there as the new rescue truck was delivered to Fire District 2.

There to greet it were our firefighters, some from many other towns as well as several Chesterfield policemen. These were some of the first people to test out all of the new features on the truck. We spoke to Michael Stein at the firehouse to hear about some of those features.

“This will give us a lot more room for equipment,” Stein told WBNC News. “It’s got all the modern technology… When we go to an accident scene, we usually will illuminate it for the police so they can do their investigation, and we can do our rescue.”

Now, Chesterfield Hose Company has a ladder truck, a tanker truck, and two rescue vehicles, one of which they will be retiring soon.
