Bordentown, NJ – The Record Collector, located in Bordentown, NJ, hosted a benefit concert on Friday, March 30, to benefit the Chesterfield Families.  The doors opened at 7:30 with middle school band M.E.R.K. playing at 8.  The band did a series of popular covers mixed with original songs written by the lead singer.  They did a great job.  The Successful Failures, a band also based in New Jersey, performed after M.E.R.K., and played songs from their 2 previous albums as well as tracks off their CD (their 4th full album) that will be released April 3rd.

WBNC got a copy ahead of time, and we have enjoyed listening to it in the studio.

We will be holding a contest to give away some free Successful Failures stuff (like a CD, T-Shirt…)  We will put that on our YouTube Channel soon!

WBNC talked with the leader of the band after the show, and part of that interview will be in Episode 3 of Weekends in Chesterfield airing on Monday, with the full story airing on Wednesday.

We’d like to thank everyone who came out to show their support, and to the owners of The Record Collector for being so generous.
