Parents and Chesterfield Community Members:

As you may know, a Chesterfield School Bus was involved in a serious accident at approximately 8 a.m. this morning, Thursday, February 16 while making its routine morning run. The information at the time of the accident was that a number of students riding Bus #4 were injured and have been transported to area hospitals. Parents of the injured students were immediately notified and are with their children.

At this time, school officials are working with police and emergency personnel to ascertain the extent of student injuries. While we recognize that the media is reporting on this accident, we ask your understanding as we confirm all information with legitimate police and medical professionals. We will share all facts as they become available.

Students and staff in our school have been apprised of the accident and are receiving support where needed via our counseling staff and members of the Burlington County School Crisis Response Team. At this time, our school day is proceeding under a normal schedule and there has been no disruption to program.
